Over the last decade, B.toys has gone from a vague idea to a fully developed brand spanning various toy lines.
It all starts with a passion for children and a mutual dream between two old designer friends. After decades of creating and manufacturing toys, a team of DoodleDo designer moms partners with family-owned manufacturer Battat. They decide that it is time for a toy brand that will make a difference, both for our planet and for the children who live on it.
Today, B.toys continues to innovate in terms of the visual and functional design of its toys. From new twists on toddler classics to surprisingly modern kids furniture, B.toys has childhood covered. And there really is no end in sight.
Knowing that toys often come in beautiful boxes or wonderful packaging. But the ecological footprint left by the packaging is not at all pleasant, so they have been relentless in using the most recyclable materials and soy-based inks to minimize that footprint. Reduce. Re-use. Recycle. It's a way of life at B.toys.
Wherever possible, they have omitted packaging entirely. Some of the toys come with a simple hang tag. When they need to use boxes, they use recyclable paper. For some of the toys, they have replaced the traditional box with a beautiful, sturdy storage bag that can be used over and over again.
Meanwhile, all the boxes can be recycled over and over again. And they have ensured that the plastic that holds the toys in place is the easiest and most widely recycled. Even the few ties they use to protect toys while in transit are recyclable.
It has been a GREAT effort to achieve the least possible impact on our planet.
As for the toys themselves, build them sturdy so they could be recycled the old-fashioned way, passing them from one child to another.
