In 1920 Josef Neuhierl started the manufacture of tin toys in Fürth, Bavaria.
In 1963 Herrman, Neuhierl's son presented with “ Carrera Universal ” the first electric Carrera circuit in size 1:32, which has been very well received. In 1967, with “ Carrera 124 ”, a system with a larger size was launched on the market.
In the 70s and 80s the Carrera circuit continued to be developed, and current and historical models of racing cars were created. The great success of the company was marred in 1985 by the tragic death of Herrman Neuhierls.
After internal restructuring in the late 1990s, the Salzburg-based Stadlbauer group of companies (a group that has been responsible for the distribution of Carrera in Austria since the early 1970s) has taken over the traditional company. Carrera unites tradition with innovative products and a commitment to high technology. In this way the successes continue with the growth in sales nationally and internationally. Stadlbauer invests in the Carrera circuit: in 2001, starting from “ Carrera 124 ”, the exclusive and special premium product line for beginners and young people, called Carrera GO !!!, was developed. This circuit meets today's quality requirements, also in the 1:43 size. The classic 1:32 size, called Carrera Evolution , has been further developed.
Digital Technique
The revolution comes with Carrera's digital circuits. With the technology of the new Digital 132 system, up to six cars can pass each other at high speed. The Pace Car app allows drivers to race against a car that completes laps at a speed pre-programmed by itself.
The most important thing: All Carrera Digital 132 cars can be used interchangeably in analog and digital circuits. It is the first system to combine the world of analog with the features of the digital age.

Whether it's from Formula 1, classic cars, or from the touring car spectrum - the high quality of the reproductions creates an excellent feeling. We can find large licenses such as Ferrari, Porsche, Audi, BMW, Bentley as well as Nintendo, Nascar, who share the illusion for the Carrera circuits. On the one hand they share the fun, the unique makes and models and are immersed in an exciting duel for the best race position.
