In 1946 Eduardo Blanchard founded the Celulosa Fabril ( CEFA ) company in Zaragoza. Oriented at first to the manufacture of cellulose capsules for bottle stoppers, very soon the family business began to expand its activity with the manufacture of gelatins, saccharins and soaps.

In 1952, with the development of thermoplastic injection, Cefa started the production of plastics using injection molds, and with it the manufacture of toys, among other products.

Although, when it can really be said that Cefa obtained its consolidation in the toy market, it is in the 80s, with the commercialization of board games and scientific kits.
