Papo is a French company dedicated to the manufacture of internationally recognized toys. Although it is mainly dedicated to the manufacture of animal figures, it has also been characterized by the manufacture of toys with themes as diverse as medieval, mythological or fantastic (fairies, unicorns, etc...). Papo is recognized for the great realism and detail of her figures, which are hand-painted and many of them are exhibited in museums (such as the Puebla museum in Mexico). Thus, his animal figures are appreciated by both children and adults who love animals. Papo was founded in 1983, limiting its production, at that time, to the manufacture of fantastic, medieval and cowboy figures. However, the success of the company allowed it to expand its production and in 1994 it began to manufacture figures of animals, items for which the company would later be known. It was at this time that Papo achieved its international success, selling figures in Europe and the American continent. Papo joins the WWF SME Club in 2017. Papo currently designs, in addition to individual figures, accessories such as castles, farms or ships, among others.
Papo's animal figures represent animals spread throughout the world, ecosystems(savannah, forest, farm, sea…) and eras (Papo makes both animals from our time, from the Holocene, as well as from prehistoric animals, both from the time of the dinosaurs and pterosaurs (Triassic-Cretaceous), and from the intermediate periods between the Cretaceous and the Holocene, in the case of mammoths and cave bears).
A characteristic of Papo's figures is the great realism and detail of his figures, as well as the fact that they are hand-painted.
Papo's fundamental objective is encourage children's motivation to playand awaken their imagination (through its great diversity of figures), as well as make children aware of the diversity and beauty of the animal world and the need for its conservation and, therefore, of the environment.
To do this, the sculptors collaborate with pedagogues and professionals in the design of three-dimensional figures. Although the realism and detail of his figures have also favored their collection by adult animal lovers, as well as their exhibition in museums.
< b>Accepting European regulations for the care and safety of figures, Papo figures are free of toxins and lead, for the safety of children. All the figures are designed in the company's native country, France, although the manufacture of the figures is carried out in Papo workshops located in various countries around the world, such as China or Portugal.
For 25 years, Papo has created, developed, innovated and made children dream around the world, to the point of being able to offer today a wide variety of 600 items in various universes of animals and characters, in 12 lines of products.
The animals are distinguished by their great detail and realism, and Papo's characters offer a unique game opportunity.
